21K Gold Demantoid Garnet Ring
An impressive 1.8 carat natural demantoid garnet with VS-1 clarity in a 21K gold claw set mount. Demantoids are considered very rare and are highly sought after by gem collectors. This example has a large stone and high clarity, the combination of which makes it even more elusive.
According to The International Gem Society, demantoids have more brilliance and dispersion than diamonds (Arem & Clark, 2022) making them particularly sparkly. “Demantoid” is derived from the french word “diamant” meaning diamond due to its diamond like sparkle.
